Our Story | About cmb
CMB RENTALS (PVT) LTD was founded by a team of experienced Sri Lankan real estate professionals who came together with a single, bold observation: Sri Lanka had no dedicated rental agency. Not one.
With years of combined experience across the real estate industry, our founding team had seen the same gap play out again and again. Thousands of families, professionals, expats, and businesses search for rental properties in Sri Lanka every single day yet there was no reliable, centralized solution built specifically to help them find what they needed.
Landlords had no professional partner to find and screen quality tenants. Expats relocating to Colombo had no trusted agency to call. Businesses searching for commercial space had nowhere to turn. The problem was clear. Nobody had solved it. So we built the solution.
Sri Lanka’s First and Only Full Service Rental Solution
CMB RENTALS is Sri Lanka’s first and only full service property rental agency the one and only rental solution company built entirely around renting, not general real estate sales. We are not just a listings website. We are a team of real estate professionals who find tenants, manage properties, and handle the entire rental process from start to finish.
Backed by years of hands-on experience in the Sri Lankan property market, CMB RENTALS was born in Colombo as the first dedicated rental solution for the city and its suburbs. We started with a clear purpose to make renting in Sri Lanka fast, transparent, and completely hassle free and that purpose drives every decision we make to this day. about cmb about cmb
Why Choose Us?
What sets us apart in a market that’s never had a dedicated rental specialist before.
Unlike agencies that split their attention across sales, land, and rentals, CMB RENTALS is built entirely around one thing — renting. That focus means every part of our process, from listings to lease support, is designed specifically for tenants and landlords, not adapted from a general real estate model.
Our team brings years of real, on-the-ground real estate experience in Colombo and its suburbs. That means realistic pricing guidance, an accurate read on neighborhoods and demand, and advice you can actually rely on — not guesswork.
Relocating to a new country is stressful enough without navigating an unfamiliar rental market. We specialize in guiding expats and relocating professionals through the process, from finding the right property to understanding local lease terms and requirements.
Whether you’re searching for a family home, a furnished apartment, or commercial space for your business — office, retail, or restaurant — CMB Rentals covers it all, so you don’t need to work with multiple agencies for different needs.
Your personal information is treated with care and used only to support your rental inquiry — never sold or shared beyond what’s necessary to connect you with the right property.
Whether it’s lease renewals, future property searches, or ongoing landlord support, CMB Rentals is built for lasting relationships, not just closing a single deal.
CMB RENTALS in Numbers
